The Las Vegas Raiders are the only NFL team to currently have a Black President (Sandra Douglass Morgan), Black Coach (Antonio Pierce) and Black General Manager (Champ Kelly). Al Davis was the first owner to hire Art Shell (HBCU) as the first black head coach in the Super Bowl era. Mark Davis is continuing his father’s maverick approach the game.
The Raiders also hired a woman CEO in Amy Trask back in the eighties. Al Davis never needed any special rules to give people a shot. If you were good you got an opportunity. Lets hope this is the beginning of some positive changing coming to the NFL.
