HURRICANE WARNING AS CANES ROMP 38-3

MIAMI GARDENS FL – Tyler Van Dyke was good enough and bruising ground game led the Miami Hurricanes Friday night, as they defeated the Miami-Ohio RedHawks 38-3 in the season opener for both teams.

Van Dyke connected on his first five passes including a touchdown on his first throw. The Hurricanes’ fourth-year quarterback finished 17 of 22 with 201 yards and an interception. The Canes unleashed a punishing ground attack and showed the red Hawks who the “real” Miami was.

Remember these names folks Mark Fletcher busted out in grand style as the true freshmen ran for 76 yards with a touchdown and he brought his friends along. Henry Parrish Jr was impressive as well, gashing the Red Hawks defense for 90 yards on the night and a score as well. The Canes are loaded at running back and it showed as they ran the ball 36 times tonight with an impressive 6.9 YPC. Exactly what Mario Cristobal wants to dominate the line of scrimmage. Mission accomplished.
