Bahamas Basketball Federation officials are confirming the roster for the upcoming FIBA Olympic Qualifiers. For the first time ever The Bahamas will have four NBA players competing. Buddy Hield of the Indiana Pacers , from the Phoenix Suns Deandre Ayton and Eric Gordon , and Charlotte Hornets high flyer Kai Jones all expected to suit up for The Bahamas in the qualifying window slated for August. The team is arguably the strongest ever assembled by the BBF as The Bahamas aims to secure a bid for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Step one for the Bahamians will be the 2023 FIBA Olympic Pre Qualifier for The Americas, August 14-20 in Argentina. The Bahamas must win this tournament to qualify for another Olympic qualifier next summer. Channeling my inner Bart Scott , I can’t wait !!!!!!
