Tennessee Vols Orange Bowl Victory Caps Best Season Since ’01

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — As the final seconds ticked away Friday night at Hard Rock Stadium Tennessee Volunteer fans erupted in a delirious celebration as they capped off one of thier finest moments in the past couple of decades.

No. 6 Tennessee never trailed as they rolled to a 31-14 victory over No. 7 Clemson in the Orange Bowl.

This has been some year for the Volunteers, who hadn’t had an 11-win season since 2001. They finished 11-2 and wrapped up a year in which they beat fellow SEC giants Clemson, Alabama and LSU , all programs that combined to win six of the seven recent College Football Playoff national titles. Very impressive I would say. Our photographer JC Ruiz was there and caught some of the action.

Congrats Tennessee.
