It was an amazing gathering of community leaders and local media alike as the Miami Dolphins remembered one of their own. The late Senior Vice President Jason Jenkins.
At times it was a somber ceremony, and the next moment you could hear laughter as everyone reflected on a life that was far too short, but long enough to touch folks to from all over South Florida and beyond. Jason Jenkins was that special of a human being.
Jason was my go to guy for the past 14 years, working closely with The Sports Brothers and later The Jeff Fox Show INC. It never mattered to him what media entity you worked for. He made you feel like a VIP.
It was a sentiment shared unanimously among all that attended the memorial service on Monday September 5th at Hard Rock Stadium. The Miami Dolphins have set up a couple of memorial funds in Jason’s honor.
