Right now the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys should send a thank you note to the USFL’s New Jersey Generals. They are the team that KaVontae Turpin played for this year as he torched the league with explosive plays and eye popping touchdown returns on his way to winning league MVP. Turpin exploded on the scene for the Cowboys in Saturday night’s pre season win over the LA Chargers. Turpin had a 98-yard kickoff return TD and an 86-yard punt return TD as well. Dude can fly. He will be shining for Jerry’s Boys all year long and adds some big time explosiveness. Just as it did in the 80’s the USFL will be a major contributor to the NFL in terms of finding star players who just needed a chance.
