COLTS MIKE STRACHAN HAS A MAJOR OPPORTUNITY IN INDY

It was a rough rookie season for the talented wide receiver from Freeport, Grand Bahama. Mike Strachan showed major potential in training camp last year when he made the team. However nagging injuries slowed what could have potentially been a dominant year one. Onto year two and Mike Strachan is back and he seems better than ever.

Seems to me that the former 7th round selection is picking up right where he left off with an impressive performance in a recent pre season game against the Detroit Lions.

The second-year wideout who was only recently removed from the PUP list , caught three passes for 45 yards – including a 25-yard touchdown where he used his speed and size to beat Lions cornerback Mark Gilbert in the end zone.

Strachan dominated on the practice field at Grand Park during recent practices with the Lions leading into that game and his play continued in the actual game. Head Coach Frank Reich could not help but notice.

“It’s seemed like he’s gone from zero to 60 in a second,” Reich said. “There was a couple of weeks back I was thinking, I’m not even sure he’s going to be ready to practice until the season opener. Then, all of a sudden, he made a speedy recovery and next thing you know he’s out there catching a big-time touchdown in this game today. Credit to Mike and credit to our training staff.”

Good luck to Mike Strachan. The sky is the limit kid.
